Prescription and Professional Services Notice

Prescription medications are dispensed only after receipt and verification of a valid prescription from a veterinarian authorized to practise in a Canadian province or territory.

Every prescription is subject to clinical review, applicable law, professional standards, product availability, and the pharmacist’s professional judgment.

Cook’s Pet Pharmacy does not issue veterinary prescriptions and cannot require or persuade a veterinarian to prescribe a particular medication. The prescribing veterinarian remains responsible for assessing the animal and determining whether treatment is appropriate.

Pharmacy services offered through this website remain subject to the same legal and professional requirements that apply to services provided at the physical pharmacy.

Medication Counselling

A licensed pharmacist is available to provide counselling regarding new and repeat prescriptions and to answer questions about non-prescription products within the pharmacist’s professional scope.

We may contact you before dispensing when counselling, clarification, additional information, or consultation with the prescribing veterinarian is required.
