Aranesp® (darbepoetin alfa) is a prescription erythropoiesis-stimulating protein used under veterinary supervision in the management of anemia in cats and dogs, including anemia associated with chronic kidney disease.

Important Shipping Information

• Aranesp requires refrigeration. Each order is packed with an insulated kit and ice packs to help maintain temperature. Same-day delivery is offered for local orders; non-local orders are shipped by expedited service, and an additional shipping fee applies for temperature-controlled packaging and priority handling.
• Despite these precautions, there remains a risk of temperature excursion during transit delays. Refrigerated products cannot be refunded or replaced.
• To prevent temperature-sensitive products from being held in courier warehouses over the weekend, refrigerated items are not shipped on Thursdays or Fridays; such orders are shipped the following Monday to ensure product integrity.

Main Uses

• Used under veterinary supervision in the management of anemia in dogs and cats, including anemia of chronic kidney disease.
• Your veterinarian will determine the dose and frequency, and will monitor your pet's red blood cell levels with regular bloodwork.

Active Ingredients

• Darbepoetin alfa, 10 mcg per 0.4 mL prefilled syringe. Supplied as 4 × 0.4 mL single-use prefilled syringes.

Directions

• Administer exactly as directed by your veterinarian, by subcutaneous injection.
• Each syringe is for single use only. Discard any unused portion. Do not shake the syringe.

Safety

• Regular veterinary monitoring is essential. Contact your veterinarian promptly if you notice changes in appetite, energy, breathing, or gum colour.
• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to darbepoetin alfa or any component of the formulation.
• Keep this medication out of reach of children and other pets.

Storage

• Store refrigerated at 2 to 8°C, do not freeze, and protect from light.
