Porus One Kidney Support for Cats

Porus One is a daily oral supplement designed to support kidney health in cats, including senior cats and those living with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

During protein digestion, substances are produced in the intestines that can later be converted into uremic toxins, such as indoxyl sulfate and para-cresyl sulfate. These toxins may accumulate when kidney function is reduced. Porus One helps capture their precursors in the digestive tract before they enter the bloodstream.

Active Ingredient

Porus One contains Renaltec®, a highly purified spherical carbon adsorbent. Renaltec® binds certain toxin precursors in the intestines so they can be eliminated through the stool instead of relying on the kidneys for removal.

Renaltec® is tasteless and odourless. It is not absorbed by the body and passes naturally through the digestive system.

Directions for Use

• Give one 500 mg sachet per cat once daily, regardless of the cat’s age or weight, unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian.
• Mix the entire sachet thoroughly into wet cat food.
• If your cat normally eats dry food, mix the powder with a small amount of wet food or another moist, pet-safe food before serving.
• Administer at approximately the same time each day. Offering it before the main meal may help encourage consumption.
• Keep Porus One at least two hours apart from other oral medications or supplements, as its adsorbent properties may affect their absorption.
• A small amount of powder may remain inside the sachet after use; this is normal.
• If a dose is missed, resume the regular schedule with the next dose. Do not give two sachets at once.

Safety Information

Porus One is generally well tolerated and is formulated to be gentle on the gastrointestinal tract. No common serious adverse effects have been reported; however, individual sensitivities may still occur.

Discontinue use and contact a veterinarian if your cat develops any unusual symptoms or signs of an allergic reaction. The product’s activity is expected to end within approximately 12–36 hours after it is discontinued.

Porus One may be used long term under veterinary supervision. Regular veterinary examinations and bloodwork are recommended to monitor kidney function and determine whether the cat’s treatment plan remains appropriate.

Porus One is intended to complement veterinary care and should not replace prescribed medications, a therapeutic kidney diet, or regular veterinary monitoring.
