Metacam contains meloxicam, a prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) chewable tablet for dogs. It is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis. Available in 1mg and 2.5mg strengths . A valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian is required.
