Directions for Use
Both products are topical solutions but are supplied as separate applicators. Apply each product only according to the schedule provided by your veterinarian.
Do not mix the liquids together or assume that both products should be applied simultaneously. Each contains imidacloprid, so the timing and application schedule must be specifically directed by the prescribing veterinarian.
Part the coat and apply each product directly to the skin using the application sites specified on its individual package label. Avoid the eyes and mouth and prevent the dog from licking treated areas.
Safety and Precautions
- For dogs over 8 weeks of age only.
- Never use K9 Advantix II on cats. Permethrin is highly toxic to cats and may cause serious illness or death.
- Prevent cats from grooming or having close physical contact with a recently treated dog until the application site is completely dry.
- Do not administer either product by mouth.
- Consult a veterinarian before use in sick, aged, debilitated, underweight, pregnant or nursing dogs.
- Use Advantage Multi cautiously in dogs with an MDR1 mutation.
- Wear rubber gloves when applying K9 Advantix II and wash hands thoroughly afterward.
- Monitor for redness, itching, hair changes, vomiting, reduced appetite, lethargy or agitation. Contact a veterinarian if a reaction develops.
- Keep treated dogs away from furniture and hardwood floors until the application sites are dry.
